S.W.A.K.: Running in Place

I think “running in place” is a good way to describe this week for me.  No major catastrophes, but no major progress, either.

I did manage to make my bed every single day this week, if for no other reason that to give me a place to lay out a sewing project for an hour.  I helped Rhett install the first 3 pieces of sheetrock into our bathroom today.  Now on to spackling and taping.  I worked on a couple of project ideas I want to post and finished my first original crochet pattern.  Nicholas and Sarah had a birthday party this week that I got to sew for, too.  We decided to put the gift in a zippered pouch and tie a big fabric bow on it instead of wrapping it.  Turned out way cute—but did I even THINK to take a picture.  Of.  Course. NOT.  Oh, well.

I got a pile of Valentines printed out this week for Nicholas and Sarah.  I was going to go all cute and make cute sayings like “You Blow Me Away” or “You Blow My Mind” since they picked out bubbles to attach to them all, but I saw all these cute subway art printables out there, so I decided to be grateful for the hard work of others and use those.  I copied the .jpg files and put four to a page and printed them on white cardstock.  I’ll post pics later—the kids are still writing notes, but here are the links to the subway art I used:

This morning I got to go to a Worldwide Leadership Training broadcast for my church—The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  It was a high note for me.  I always feel so motivated when I learn from our inspired leaders.  It was nice to think of the YW I serve in our ward and receive thoughts and promptings on how better to serve and show my love for them.  I got a couple of ideas for new activities running through my head as well as card ideas for their quote rings, too.

Come to think of it, maybe I have actually made a few steps forward this week …
